EchoMind account control

Account Deletion

Delete selected EchoMind data while keeping your account, delete a signed-in account immediately from Account & Safety, or submit an account-deletion request without signing in.

Request deletion without signing in

Submit the email address attached to the account. A username is optional. The request is saved to a private manual-review queue; submitting it does not by itself delete data or confirm that an account exists.

You may instead email echomind@lazying.art from the account email when possible. Include the username, but do not send a password, date of birth, or identity document.

Delete a signed-in account immediately

  1. Sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Open Settings, then choose Account & Safety.
  3. In Delete account, type the exact username displayed by the app.
  4. Choose Delete account and confirm the final prompt.
Deletion is permanent. A successful request signs the account out and cannot be undone through the app.

Delete selected data without deleting your account

Signed-in users can permanently remove these supported account-owned records while keeping the EchoMind account active:

  • To delete a post, open your post's actions menu, choose Delete post, and confirm. Its comments and cached language enhancements are removed with it.
  • To delete one of your comments, open the comment actions, choose Delete comment, and confirm. Its replies and cached enhancements are removed with it.

These post and comment controls remove the selected server records and preserve the rest of the account. Shared conversations and content created by other people remain subject to their participants' rights and EchoMind's safety obligations.

The language-assistant conversation action removes its messages and retires the conversation shell, but it is not described as complete per-conversation erasure because inactive shell metadata and unverified file copies remain subject to account deletion or operational cleanup. The AI Agent conversation action archives the thread and retains its audit trail. OnlyIdeas does not provide a first-release per-paper or per-history deletion control.

Manual verification and timing

An authorized support or moderation reviewer must verify control of the email already attached to the account before acting on a signed-out request. Verification correspondence comes from echomind@lazying.art. Supplying an email address in this form is not, by itself, proof of ownership. A request that cannot be verified is not completed.

The queue records each request as open and pending verification for manual follow-up. It does not expose whether the submitted details match an account.

Manual-review SLA: EchoMind does not currently publish a fixed response or completion time. The authenticated in-app control remains the immediate self-service deletion path.

What the deletion process removes

The account deletion process erases the account identity and related private or account-owned application data, including owned posts and comments, private AI conversations, messages you authored, owned groups, settings, sessions, device records, safety reports you submitted, and account-owned uploaded artifacts handled by the deletion process.

EchoMind retains a non-identifying inactive account tombstone only where it is needed to preserve another person's shared record or moderation evidence. Messages authored by other people and reports they submitted are not treated as the deleted account's data. A sole-owned OnlyIdeas paper and its conversions are removed; a deduplicated paper saved by another account remains without the deleted creator identity.

Before deleting

  • Review any information you need before deletion. EchoMind does not present a restore action after deletion.
  • If you own a group, deletion removes that owned group through the current deletion process.
  • If yours is the last active administrator account, transfer administration first. The deletion endpoint refuses to delete the last administrator.
  • If you separately use a paid web service, manage that web arrangement through the controls shown by that service. The first native release has no native purchases.
